The Challenge
Job hunting in Sweden is fragmented. Arbetsförmedlingen lists 50 000+ vacancies but the interface is bureaucratic and slow. Commercial platforms like Indeed serve ads first and jobs second. Mobile experiences are an afterthought. Swedish job seekers — especially younger, mobile-first users — had no modern tool designed for casual, frictionless discovery.
Our Solution
Spana is built around one principle: get out of the way. We designed two core modes — a swipe-based Scout view for casual browsing and a Classic list view for focused searching — so users can engage on their own terms. The app pulls live data directly from Arbetsförmedlingen's API, personalises results through a lightweight affinity engine that learns from swipe signals, and tracks user activity with a clean stats dashboard.
The entire experience is optimised for one-thumb mobile use. No account required. No application forms inside the app. Just discover, save, and go.
